This course is a fast-paced introduction to modern and contemporary U.S. poetry, from Dickinson and Whitman to the present. Participants (who need no prior experience with poetry) will learn how to read poems that are supposedly "difficult."
3) Join us, if you can, for our first live webcast session - this week: Wednesday, September 19, starting promptly at 10 AM eastern time. It's very easy to view the webcast. If you can watch a YouTube video you should be able to see us live at that time. The session will last one hour. Click on "live webcast sessions" on the left side of the ModPo home page. If you can travel to Philadelphia, you are welcome to join us at the Kelly Writers House.
